Our child care center’s kitchen manager plays a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of the children we serve. With proper training in safe food handling, age-appropriate nutrition, and effective cooking techniques, she ensures every meal is prepared with care and attention to quality.
Her knowledge of portion sizes and dietary needs for young children allows her to create balanced, nutritious meals that support growth and development.
In addition to preparing food, she maintains high sanitation standards and follows all guidelines to ensure a safe kitchen environment, helping families with confidence that their children are receiving wholesome meals each day!
It is the policy of Discover Little Miracles Child Care to serve the most nutritious foods available to us. Our goal is to establish healthy eating habits for a lifetime. We will use fresh fruit and vegetables in the children’s weekly diet. Whole grains in breads will be served to aid in digestion, and skim milk will be served to all children over two and older.
Occasional “treats” will be offered for snacks and/or special occasions.
Many varieties of foods will be served and will meet the USDA and state licensing requirements. Menus will be posted at the center and be available to parents upon request. It is important that the staff is aware of any allergies a child may have.
